The author correctly underlines the importance of " a humanistic tradition that presupposes respect for all partners." Just think how much better off the world would be if that philosophy were the reality today.
Excellent. I am quite curious though in regards to the two European outcomes because I should think the Atlantic to Pacific European Union an outcome and not merely trade. A super EU with Russian Federation. Then I am curious about the politics that killed this project on integration as being those of the totalitarian West that dominates Europe.
The US, determined to achieve and maintaine hegemony post WWII, constructed such policies and turned Europe into vassal-like states. Expansion of NATO was part of this project which, in turn, negated a pan-European security agreement that included Russia. This has led us to the dangerous situation in which we find ourselves.
